FindMe Photo

    How FindMe Photo works

Everything FindMe Photo does, and exactly how to use it — from creating an album to guests finding their own photos with a selfie.

    Create an album

From your dashboard, click New album, give it a name, choose sell or just share, and you're in.

Create event form showing event name, description, and date fields
Creating an album — name it, pick sell or just share, set the quality, and hit Create.

Once you click Create, you're taken straight to the album admin page. From there you can upload photos, customize settings, and grab the QR code.

Every album gets a unique 6-character access code (like TQ8J9L) that guests use to enter. This is generated automatically.

    Upload your photos

Drag and drop your entire shoot. Photos are resized automatically to your current setting selection — no prep work needed.

Upload drop zone showing drag-and-drop area with photo count
Drop photos here or click to browse. You can upload up to 1,000 photos per album.

Drag and drop Drag and drop files from your computer, or click the upload area to browse. You can select hundreds of photos at once.

After upload, two things happen automatically:

    1. Thumbnails are generated for fast gallery loading
    2. AI face indexing runs on every photo — this is what powers selfie search later

You'll see a progress modal during upload. Keep the tab open until it finishes.

Uploading from your phone? FindMe is designed for mobile so you're good to go. The photo picker can take a few seconds to load for large selections. That's normal.
Videos too. You can upload MP4, MOV, or WebM videos alongside photos — total videos and length vary by plan.
Already using Google Drive? You can import photos directly from a Google Drive folder — no downloading and re-uploading. Connect your Drive, pick a folder, click upload and walk away.

    Share with guests

Every album gets a QR code and access code. Print it, project it, text it.

Three ways guests can enter your album:

QR code and access code display

    Scan the QR code

Display it on a screen, print it, put it on a table card — guests scan with their phone camera

    Type the access code

Guests go to findme.photo/find-my-photos and type the 6-character code

    Click the direct link

Copy the gallery link and send it via text, email, or WhatsApp

Guests don't need an account or an app. The QR code gets them in. Works on any phone, any browser.

Guest gallery with the Selfie Search button — a branded album of real event photos
Every album opens with a Selfie Search button. One tap, one selfie, and only that guest's photos come back.

Here's the exact flow from a guest's perspective:

    1

    Tap "Selfie Search"

The blue button at the top of every album. Opens the selfie camera.

    2

Take a selfie (or upload a photo)

The browser asks for camera permission. Guest takes a quick selfie — no filters needed, just a clear shot of their face.

    3

    AI matches in ~2 seconds

Face recognition compares the selfie against every indexed face in the album. Matching photos are shown instantly.

    4

    Browse and download

Only the guest's photos are shown. They can tap "Show All" to go back to the full album anytime.

Privacy: The selfie is used for a single, secure match — processed in memory and discarded the moment results are returned. It is never stored. We match against indexed face vectors, not actual photos of faces.

Add second shooters to one album

Flip one switch and second shooters, assistants, or a photo-booth operator can upload straight into the same album.

Album settings showing share link, download options, sort order, and collaborative toggle
Turn on Collaborative album and a separate upload link appears — share it so others can add their photos (it's different from the gallery link).

    How to enable it:

    1. Open your album's admin page
    2. Toggle "Make Album Collaborative" to on
    3. An invite link appears — copy and send it to your collaborators
    4. They click the link, sign in, and can start uploading immediately

    What collaborators can do:

Upload their own photos and videos

    Delete photos they uploaded

View the album in admin mode

    Edit event name or settings

    Delete other people's photos

    Turn collaboration off

All photos land in one album. Guests see a single unified gallery — they don't know or care who uploaded each photo. Everything gets face-indexed the same way.

    Quality and downloads, your call

Set the photo quality when you create the album, then turn guest downloads on or off whenever you like.

Album settings: locked quality, plus an Allow downloads toggle
Album quality is chosen when you create the album and can be adjusted later — new uploads use the new setting. Allow downloads is a simple on/off switch — shown here turned on.

Two settings in the album dashboard control what guests can save:

    Album quality

Chosen when you create the album — 4000px on most plans, up to original quality on Pro. You can change it later from the album settings; photos already uploaded keep their quality, new uploads use the new setting.

    Allow downloads

On: guests save full-quality photos to their device. Off: they can still view and selfie-search, but there's no download button.

    Batch download

Guests can select several photos and save them at once — a single ZIP on desktop, the native share sheet on phones.

Selling albums work differently — guests get free 800px previews and buy the full-resolution files. More on that next.

    Sell your photos

Turn an album into a storefront — guests buy digital downloads at your prices, and you keep up to 99%.

Selling settings — this album is set up for selling; full-res is purchase-only
A selling album: guests get free 800px previews, while the full-resolution files are purchase-only.

Decided when you create the album. The New album dialog asks "Will you sell photos from this album?" Choose Yes to make it a selling album. This choice is permanent — a selling album can't be switched back to free sharing, and a free album can't be turned into a selling one. Pick the right mode up front.

On a selling album, downloads change automatically: guests can grab a free 800px preview to share, but the high-resolution original is never served for free — it's purchase-only. You set the prices in Store Settings.

Selling is set once, at creation, and can't be changed later. If you're not sure, spin up a quick test album first.

Connect your Stripe payout account on the Store Settings page so guests can complete purchases and the money lands in your account directly. FindMe takes a small per-sale fee that shrinks as your plan grows.

What you unlock on each plan

A breakdown of the features that scale with your plan — from branding to unlimited storage.

    Custom Branding

Your studio name replaces "FindMe Photo" in the navigation. Choose from five color schemes: Classic, Warm Ivory, Midnight, Sage Garden, or Rose Gold. Guests also get a branded album URL (yourstudio.findme.photo). Available on Growth and Pro plans.

    Upload Quality

Free+, Studio, and Growth: 4000px high-res. Pro: original quality, up to 15 MB per file — ideal for print-ready deliverables.

    Unlimited Photos Per Album

Free and Studio plans have a 1,000 photo-per-album limit. Growth and Pro plans support unlimited photos per album — upload as many as your event needs.

    Traffic Analytics

Pro includes a dashboard showing views, unique visitors, and downloads per album. Monthly performance reports help you understand which events get the most engagement.

    Video Duration

Video length depends on your plan — from 90 seconds on the free plan up to 5 minutes per video on Pro. Check the plans above for your exact limit.

    Google Drive Import

Connect a Google Drive folder and photos sync directly into your album — no downloading, no re-uploading. Photographers already shooting into Drive save hours on every event. Available on Growth and Pro plans.

Photo Studio Pro dashboard showing custom branding with warm ivory color scheme and Pro badge
Your studio name replaces "FindMe Photo" across the dashboard, albums, and guest galleries — shown here as "Photo Studio Pro" — with your own branded URL and color scheme.
Analytics dashboard showing views, unique visitors, and downloads chart over 30 days
    Per-album analytics over time.

    What the analytics show you

    • Total views and unique visitors per album
    • Downloads — how many photos guests actually saved
    • Traffic over time, so you can spot your busiest days
    • A breakdown per album across all your events

Make it your studio, not ours

Put your studio name, colors, and a branded URL on every album — guests see your brand, not FindMe.

Studio branding settings — studio name field, color scheme picker, and a live preview
The Studio branding settings — type your studio name, pick a color scheme, and see a live preview before you save.

Branding is set once in your account and applies everywhere automatically:

    Your studio name

Replaces "FindMe Photo" in the navigation and across every guest gallery.

    A color scheme

Pick from five looks — Classic, Warm Ivory, Midnight, Sage Garden, or Rose Gold — and it themes the whole experience.

    A branded URL

Your galleries live at yourstudio.findme.photo instead of a generic link.

    How to set it up:

    1. Go to Profile and open the Studio branding section.
    2. Type your studio name and pick a color scheme — you'll see a live preview.
    3. Hit Save. Every album, old and new, updates instantly.
Studio branding is available on the Growth and Pro plans. It's account-wide — you set it once, not per album.

Run FindMe from your AI assistant

Connect Claude or ChatGPT to FindMe and create albums, upload photos, import from Drive, and pull analytics — just by asking.

FindMe Settings — Connect your AI page with coding agents, harnesses, ChatGPT, and Claude Web options
The Connect your AI page in Settings — pick the assistant you use and it walks you through the rest.

FindMe runs a hosted connector (an MCP server) that lets an AI assistant operate your account safely. There are two ways to connect, depending on what you use:

Web assistants — ChatGPT & Claude

No install, no key. Add the connector once and sign in with OAuth. Best for managing events, checking usage, and uploading via a tap-to-upload link.

Coding agents — Claude Code, Cursor, Codex…

These install the connector themselves. You create an API key, store it where the agent keeps secrets, and it can upload photos straight from your computer.

    How to connect (web assistant):

    1. In your AI app, open its connector settings (e.g. ChatGPT → Settings → Connectors, or claude.ai → Customize → Connectors).
    2. Add a custom connector and paste the FindMe server URL: findme.photo/api/mcp
    3. Choose OAuth and sign in — the assistant is now linked to your account.
Full step-by-step instructions, the server URL, and API-key setup live in Profile → Connect your AI. Web assistants connect free over OAuth; coding-agent uploads use API keys with per-plan request quotas.

    Export straight from Lightroom Classic

Deliver galleries without leaving your editing workflow — FindMe shows up right in Lightroom's Export menu.

FindMe panel inside Lightroom Classic's Export dialog — pick or create an event
The FindMe panel inside Lightroom's Export dialog — pick an existing event or create one inline, then export.

Our plugin adds FindMe Photo to File → Export in Lightroom Classic. Selected photos upload directly into an event, and face indexing starts automatically — no browser step.

    How to set it up:

    1. Download the plugin from Profile → Lightroom Classic, unzip it, and add it via Lightroom's Plug-in Manager.
    2. Create an API key in Profile → API Keys, paste it into the plugin, and click Test connection.
    3. Select your photos, choose File → Export → FindMe Photo, pick or create an event, and click Export.
Requires Lightroom Classic 6.0+ (Mac or Windows) and a Free+, Growth, or Pro plan. Photos export as JPEG/sRGB to match FindMe's delivery defaults; videos still go through the web uploader.

What happens when you delete photos

Deletion is permanent. There's no trash bin or undo.

On the admin page, check the boxes on photos you want to remove, then click delete. You can select up to 10 at a time.

When you delete a photo, everything related to it is removed:

    • The photo file itself (original + thumbnail)
    • All face data associated with that photo
    • The photo won't appear in selfie search results anymore
There is no trash folder. Once deleted, the photo and all its face data are gone permanently. Make sure you have a backup of your originals before deleting.

    Collaborator permissions

If your album is collaborative, each person can only delete photos they uploaded. The album owner can delete any photo. If you try to delete someone else's photo as a collaborator, you'll see a permission error.

    Things people ask

Quick answers to the stuff that actually trips people up.

Can guests upload their own photos?
No. Only the album owner and invited collaborators can upload. This keeps your album curated — no random phone snapshots mixed in with your professional work. If you want guest photos, add them as collaborators.
How many photos can I upload to one album?
Up to 1,000 photos per album on Free and Studio. Growth and Pro plans support unlimited photos per album — upload as many as your event needs. You can also upload videos — video length and how many videos fit in an album depend on your plan.
How many albums can I create?
10 albums on the free plan, 25 on Studio, unlimited on Growth and Pro. No credit card needed to start.
Do guests need to create an account?
No. Guests access the album with just the QR code or access code. No app, no account needed. Works on any phone browser.
How does the selfie search actually work?
When you upload photos, AI indexes every face it detects. When a guest takes a selfie, their face is compared against all indexed faces in the album. Matching photos are returned in about 2 seconds. The selfie itself is never stored.
What if selfie search can't find someone?
This can happen with small faces in crowd shots, heavy shadows, or blurry photos. The guest can still browse the full album manually using "Show All". Better lighting and clearer photos = better face matching.
Can I change the photo sort order?
Yes. In album settings, use the "Sort Order" dropdown to sort by upload date (newest/oldest first) or by filename (A-Z or Z-A).
Can I add a cover image or logo to my album?
Yes. At the top of the admin page, you can upload a hero/cover image (16:6 ratio recommended) and up to two logos that appear on the gallery page.
    How long are photos stored?
On the Free and Free+ plans, albums are deleted about 6 months after they're created, so export or upgrade before then. On Studio, Growth, and Pro, albums stay up as long as your subscription is active.
Is there an app to install?
No. FindMe Photo is a web app — works in the browser on any device. Nothing to install for you or your guests.
