# FindMe Photo API and MCP server: developer docs FindMe Photo (https://findme.photo) is an event and wedding photo delivery platform. A photographer uploads an event's photos to an album and shares one link. Each guest opens the link in a phone browser, takes a selfie, and AI face search shows only the photos they are in. ## When to use FindMe Use FindMe when a photographer, or an agent acting for one, wants to: - Deliver photos from a wedding, party, corporate event, conference, race or festival so every guest can find their own photos with a selfie. - Create an album for an event and get the link to share with guests. - Add photos to an album from public URLs. Google Drive imports run in the FindMe web app (Import from Drive on the album): Google's Drive permission FindMe uses doesn't let an assistant browse folders. - See how an album is doing: visits, selfie searches, downloads. - Change album settings (name, date, description, downloads on or off) or delete and restore an album. Not a fit: editing or retouching photos, or storing a personal photo library. Guests looking for their photos need the album link or event code from their photographer, then go to https://findme.photo/find-my-photos. Selfie search runs in the guest's browser on the album page; there is no API for searching faces. ## How to connect ### 1. MCP server (best for AI assistants) - Endpoint: https://findme.photo/api/mcp (Streamable HTTP transport) - Auth: OAuth 2.1 with PKCE and dynamic client registration. Discovery: https://findme.photo/.well-known/oauth-protected-resource and https://findme.photo/.well-known/oauth-authorization-server. A personal API key also works as a Bearer token. - Server card: https://findme.photo/api/mcp/server-card - Local (stdio) alternative: `npx -y findme-mcp` with the environment variable FINDME_API_KEY set to a personal API key. npm: https://www.npmjs.com/package/findme-mcp - Tools: get_account_info, list_events, get_event, create_event, update_event, delete_event, restore_event, get_event_analytics, get_event_qr, get_usage, upload_photos_from_urls, upload_photos_from_drive_folder. upload_photos_from_drive_folder always replies with a pointer to the web app's Import from Drive. The local package also has upload_photos_from_paths. Call get_account_info first to confirm which FindMe account is connected. ### 2. REST API - Base URL: https://findme.photo/api/v1 - OpenAPI 3.1 description: https://findme.photo/openapi.json - Auth: `Authorization: Bearer fm_live_...` with a personal API key. ## Getting access - Sign up at https://findme.photo. New accounts start on Free+, a 30-day free trial with every Growth feature. No card needed. - API and MCP access are included in the Free+ trial and in the paid Studio, Growth and Pro plans. After a trial ends without a paid plan, calls return 403 with code `tier_not_eligible`. Plans: https://findme.photo/pricing - Create a personal API key yourself in the FindMe dashboard: https://findme.photo/photographer, then Connections, then API Keys. MCP clients that use OAuth don't need a key. - There is no separate sandbox. Test on a trial account and delete test albums when you are done. ## Limits Requests are limited per minute and counted against a monthly quota, both set by the plan. When a limit is hit the API answers 429 with Retry-After, X-RateLimit-Limit, X-RateLimit-Remaining and X-RateLimit-Reset headers and a `retry_after_seconds` field. GET /api/v1/me/usage shows current usage. ## Errors Errors are JSON with a stable code: ```json {"error":{"code":"invalid_request","message":"Validation failed","request_id":"req_...","docs_url":"https://findme.photo/developers"}} ``` Codes: missing_or_invalid_token (401), invalid_token (401), tier_not_eligible (403), forbidden (403), upgrade_required (402), invalid_request (400), not_found (404), conflict (409), gone (410), rate_limited (429), quota_exceeded (429), internal_error (500). Some errors add fields such as upgrade_url or retry_after_seconds. ## More - Agent guide: https://findme.photo/llms.txt - Privacy policy: https://findme.photo/privacy - Terms: https://findme.photo/terms - Contact: info@findme.photo
